Newcity is a media company based in Chicago, founded in 1986 and still owned and operated by its founders, Brian & Jan Hieggelke. This site is designed to be a place for Newcity’s community of advertisers, writers, artists and publicists—past, present and potential, in all cases—to get information about our various activities to help get the most out of a Newcity relationship. In addition, it’s something of an experiment in a heightened level of transparency for us, as we bring our thoughts and ideas about our strategy, and the state of the media industry, out into a public conversation.

The site is divided along two matrixes: areas of interest (advertising, writing, etc.) and media property.
